Song of the Day “Money Maker” The Black Keys

Lyrics:

Oh, she wants milk and honey
Oh, she wants filthy money
But oh, that’s not the way it goes
I wanna buy some time but don’t have a dime

Hey my my she’s a money maker
Hey my my she’s gonna take ya
Way down down she’s bound to break ya
Hey may she’s a money maker

Oh, she just keeps me guessing
Oh, never tells me yes and
Oh ooh, I just can’t let go
Nothing that I show will ever do, for you

Hey my my she’s a money maker
Hey my my she’s gonna take ya
Way down down she’s bound to break ya
Hey may she’s a money maker

Hey my my she’s a money maker
Hey my my she’s gonna take ya
Way down down she’s bound to break ya
Hey may she’s a money maker

Song of the Day “Your Touch” The Black Keys

Lyrics:

And I want
And you got it
So much
I’m crazy for
Your touch

Your touch
Your touch
Your touch

And I’ll be good
Like I should
Waitin’ is such
Misery, I need
Your touch

Your touch
Your touch
Your touch

Hey

A little louder now
I’ve got to shout it now
Please rush
I need
Your touch

Your touch
Your touch
Your touch

Song of the Day “Howlin’ for You” The Black Keys

Bad ass song from a bad ass band. Turn this one up and enjoy.

“Howlin’ for You”

Lyrics:

I must admit
I can’t explain
All these thoughts racing
Through my brain

It’s true
Baby I’m howlin’ for you

There’s something wrong
With this plot
The actors here
Have not got

A clue
Baby I’m howlin’ for you

Mockingbird
Can’t you see
The little girl’s
Got a hold on me

Like glue
Baby I’m howlin’ for you

Throw the ball
To the stick
Swing and miss
In the catcher’s mitt

Strike two
Baby I’m howlin’ for you

5 Songs That Do Not Suck – Chicago Ed.

So on my recent trip to Chicago there were a lot of super cool older songs playing at outdoor cafes, so I am going retro for this week. I am picking some of my favorite songs that rock on a long road trip.

5. “Your Touch” by The Black Keys – super awesome song featured in Zombieland as the song for the “big move”. All around great rock anthem to have with you.

4. “I Only Want You” by The Eagles of Death Metal – this song just makes you want to move. Great song to accompany any great road trip.

3. “Time Is Running Out” by Muse – This song reminds us that we need to make the most of everything. It is also a kick ass rock song that gets the blood flowing and ready for anything a road trip can throw at you.

2. “No You Girls” by Franz Ferdinand – This is just a really fun song that has a funky beat and keeps you moving on a long trip. It’s super catchy and if you are like me you will be singing it long after you have heard it.

1. “Salute Your Solution” by The Raconteurs – This song is at the top of most of my workout playlists mainly because of its super upbeat tempo. It makes for great rocking out in the car and is awesome to listen to while wondering around a new place.
