Synopsis

My marriage seemed perfect from the outside looking in.
People envied me. They wanted my life, wanted to be me.

Mrs Alejandra Gambino.
Wife of Dino Gambino. Daughter of Eduardo Castillo.
Respected. Loved. Mob royalty.

They had no idea of the horrors that lurked behind closed doors.
They didn’t know I was at the lowest point a person could reach.

Enter Julius Carter.
Aloof, handsome, blue-eyed Julius Carter.

He saved me.
I screwed him over.

Now everybody was after me. My life was forfeit.
It was only a matter of time. I was a dead woman walking.

The question was, who would get to me first?

This one started a little rocky for me, but in the end I really enjoyed the story. After waiting so long to hear more from Twitch and co the beginning of this book was a little bit awkward. There are several POV and it can get a little confusing in the beginning, but as the story progressed it all came together and I really enjoyed the last half of the book.

This book has multiple criss crossing stories that are all intricately woven together by differing levels of murder and violence, which sounds a little odd, and it is, at first. Once you get the gist of who the players are and what the stakes are this becomes a much more enjoyable story. I loved getting to see pieces of Twitch throughout the story, but the real stars of the show are Julius and Ana. It was their story that had me turning the pages as fast as I could to see what would happen next.

This story was dark and had quite a few brutal elements, but overall it was a quick read that only had small bits that were hard to read. It did not have me completely immersed like Raw did, but it was still an enjoyable read that I would recommend for anyone that can handle a little dark romance with a side of murder and torture.
